Sofia Lyne Poems

Aquamarine,
Shimmering in my darkest dreams;
You're a sweet nectarine- nectar leaking from smoke stained lips.
Trickling down my chin in a simultaneous symphony of love and pure hatred.

'I'm not a feminist'
Says the woman in a skirt.
'What has politics got to do with me anyways? '
Says the student, achieving her master's degree.

My heart is filled with shrapnel,
Bullets and shards of glass too,
Its strange to see the distorted, mangled organ that once belonged to you,
I can't help but get the feeling,

And all this time we're fighting,
And you're just sat there typing,
To your friends,
'Oh what a bitch she's been'
...

Everytime I close my eyes,
No matter how hard I squeeze,
I stay in the same place.
...

You're hurting me baby,
Why cant you see it,
Why don't you see me,
Why can't you belive it
...

People are dying.
Blood is being shed.
Civilians shuffle closer in bomb shelters.
Lives are being lost.
...

A flurry of lonley smoke cascades from supple lips before running away in the melanchony febuary breeze.

If this smoke was a person, would i whisper sweet nothings in her ear with a voice as sickeningly degrading as honey before devouring her?

Aquamarine,
Shimmering in my darkest dreams;
You're a sweet nectarine- nectar leaking from smoke stained lips.
Trickling down my chin in a simultaneous symphony of love and pure hatred.
The falling blossoms from the sakura trees obstruct your face until you are no more.
But those sugary sweet stains remain;
A sickly patch of decit dripping down my sweater.
