Waiting For The Full Moon Poem by Mystic Qalandar

Waiting For The Full Moon

Rating: 4.0

On this moonless night,
I waited for the full moon.

I could not board the boat;
the tide was rising
to meet the moon.

I waited for the swell to settle—
for the waters to still,
for the gap to open—

so I could dip the oars into the dark
and pull, slowly,
toward the light.
