The Strength Of You And Me Poem by Tor Magnor Solvang

The Strength Of You And Me

Rating: ★5.0

My shoes are red, your shoes are blue.
I can run faster, I can jump too.
I can climb higher, reach the top shelf.
You can sing louder, I sing by myself.

I can draw a sun, with a happy face.
You can paint a flower, with delicate grace.
I can build a tower, so tall and grand.
You can weave a basket, with your own hand.

I can splash in puddles, with a mighty leap.
You can whisper secrets, while the world's asleep.
I can shout your name, across the wide street.
You can hum a soft tune, oh so sweet.

So we both have talents, special and bright.
Some things I do better, some things you do right.
We're different, it's true, in every single way.
And that makes us stronger, every single day.

People are different with different talents. When we recognize other's talents and respect them for what they are, there will be harmony in society.

Your poem is packed with imagery that aligns with the comparisons you've made. You do things better and your partner does things right. Does this mean you do things wrong? Just kidding. : -)
