The River Does Not Hurry Poem by Bidyarnab Das

The River Does Not Hurry

The river does not hurry to the sea,
It knows the sea will wait.
It bends around the stubborn rock,
It learns, but does not hate.

It carries leaves and carries light,
And carries our small boats,
It holds the sky upon its back,
And still, it gently floats.
