The Guitar. Poem by joe acacia

The Guitar.

Rating: ★5.0

i am looking for your golden smile,
like a diamond in a mine.
i am under a tree waiting
alone sitting under the moonlight.

eyes fixed on the clouds,
i have between my hands
a guitar weakened by age,
chanting in love story.

i scratch it like such a good child,
singing heaps of memories
and sweet phrases offering you
i am waiting to see your rare smile again.

I thoroughly enjoyed the illusion you made to the smile of the guitar! That was well crafted!
