I walked all day
and toiled all night
I gave up play
and much delight

Oh no Gloria isn't mine
no wonder its been long i saw her shine
i suspected every thing wasn't fine
then i let my mind entwine

I knelt to pray but not for long
i had too much to do
i had to hurry to get to work
for bills will soon be due

I gave up all i had
