Like a horse wearing blinders,
The beer-bellied tycoon headed,
Straight to the treasure-laden shrine,
Through a long narrow lane,
Flanked by tons of tin-roofed slums;
The monuments of marginalization,
And donated precious offerings,
To all mute deities!
Wow! The poem is profound and deeply reflective of what occurs in the world. Shameful, but unfortunately true. Great poem. : -)
