Hello Mehri. Thank you for your comment on my poem Do Not Disturb. I tried to send you a message but it would not go through, so I will try to answer your question here. I don't know what love is, but I experience it on a daily basis. There are different kinds of love. For instance I love people, in general, because we are all connected by some thread. I guess it's our humanity.You say love usually ends in hate. No, real love can never end in hate. Perhaps what you experience is infatuation, admiration, etc. - I don't know. What makes you fall in love? Is it physical beauty - that will fade eventually. Then what's left? We have to learn to love what's not physical - goodness, kindness, understanding, tolerance - well, you get the idea. These attributes go on long after physical attractiveness has diminished. I understand we still need physical love - this is our nature. But look beyond that, too. These are things worthy of our love. And we have to practice loving every single day. The more you do it, the better it becomes - and so satisfying. This is what I meant when I say In love we find relief. Relief in knowing we are capable of loving, relief in knowing we are loved in return. Wishing you well, Lora
