Our Love Story Poem by Natasa To

Our Love Story

I never knew that one small moment
Could change the rhythm of my heart,
That one smile, one simple conversation,
Could be the beginning of our part.

You came into my life so quietly,
I didn't know what you would mean.
But slowly, day by day,
You became the sweetest thing I'd seen.

We shared our dreams and silly moments,
Late-night talks and endless laughs,
Little memories no one noticed
That somehow became our photographs.

I remember the days I missed you,
Even when you weren't far away,
And how hearing your voice
Could turn my darkest night into day.

We weren't always perfect.
We misunderstood, we cried, we fought.
There were moments when we wondered
If love alone would be enough.

But somehow, through the distance,
Through the silence and the pain,
We found our way back to each other,
Like sunshine finding its way through rain.

You saw the parts I tried to hide,
The fears I never learned to say.
And instead of walking away,
You chose to stay.

That's what made me love you deeper—
Not because everything was right,
But because even on the hardest days,
You still felt like home at night.

If someone asked me what love is,
I wouldn't speak of perfect skies.
I'd tell them about your hand in mine,
Your laughter, your heart, your eyes.

I'd tell them love is choosing someone
Again and again, through every season.
It's forgiving, growing, holding on,
And sometimes loving without a reason.

And if I could live my life again,
Knowing every joy and every scar,
I'd still walk the same road toward you,
No matter how long or hard.

Because among all the people
This world could have brought my way,
Somehow, my heart found yours—
And I'd choose you again today.
