For years now,
a black cloud
has hovered
above the farm
of my poetry,
pouring its rain
without end.
Nothing grows there
except little souls—
fragile creatures
struggling
against the weight
of life.
Soon,
they disappear,
forgotten
by readers
who never ask
who wrote
these dark poems,
or why.
They do not lift
their eyes
toward the darkness
of the cloud
drifting from the East,
where a distant voice
seems to whisper:
Make them less dark—
for the sake
of an optimistic horizon,
and the brightness
of day.
But the heavy clouds
continue to rain
upon the farm
of my poems—
without pause,
without mercy.
Dear Mahtab warmly welcomed generous commentary. cheers I hope all is well with you and those around you.
on the farm of my poems without stop.....beautiful to read this poem Poem not for the dark clouds of heart Poem not for the extravagant ink Poem not for the torrential devastation of love Poem articulates the enlightenment of poets inside.......
Dark Poetry imbued with wisdom and insight must be read. Lessons culled from it can be applied in our journey of life. Darkness and evilness of humanity must be exposed. This exposure through Poetry serves a warning and guide to attain peace.
This is a remarkable piece......thank u, dear poet......anjandev roy.
But the full clouds still rain on the farm of my poems without stop
You must continue to write those dark poems- -they were meant to be written how they were written and why they were written and when they were written! ! ! ! Life has its own ways to get our attention! ! ! ! And trying to get away from its edicts will cause your readers great loss. 10+++++++
