I have walked amongst faceless crowds;
I have jostled shoulders
And arms, indifferent eyes looked at me;
And slowly I lost my identity.
I woke up at dawn in foreign lands. My heart would continue
To throb, though at times it asked why.
Anonymously sad I had become wry.
I remembered my father's face in a distant land.
I remembered my fate and tried to understand.
All was lost, what could remain
Except this faceless, anonymous pain.
