Not always does warmth mean heat,
Sometimes it is love so deep and sweet.
Like water kept in an earthen pot,
Or flowers blooming when the world is not.
A smile that makes the world glow,
A quiet warmth only a father can show.
He cannot be called sun, star or moon,
For stars may hide same does the moon.
But he stands even through the darkest night,
A silent shelter, a constant light.
Who says only mother's can give boon?
Father's love is its own gentle noon.
With him, the whole world feels bright,
Teaches from walking to flying a kite.
With a smile, lights the way,
And turns the darkest night to day.
Yet even a flame that warms the night,
May Sometimes burn with sudden might.
Secret after silence he reads,
Decorates life with colourful beads,
His love is pure without selfish needs
A quiet strength poures into seeds.
A tear and smile he can somehow smell,
Can understand the depth of ocean well.
Holds hands even when they let go,
And gives more love than words can show.
The magic of father is difficult to tell-
It lives in heart, where memories dwell.
