A Forest Sojourn Poem by ramesh rai

Come, friends, let us head to the forest,
Today, we shall wander amidst the woods.
As the sun sets beyond the horizon,
Nature will extend an invitation to all the stars.

The Moon and the Evening Star, together,
Will host a grand gathering;
The Saptarishi (Seven Sages) will be the guests of honor,
As the darkness of night spreads across the land.

All the stars will twinkle;
Hearing the celestial hum of the stars,
The creatures of the forest will dance in ecstasy.

Yet, exhausted from the day's toil,
Some creatures will seek their rest;
Slowly, the night will wane,
And the Morning Star will arrive to mark the conclusion.

Having entertained throughout the night,
All the stars will bid farewell.
